The retail concept of MCM STUDIO commenced in 1994 with the first shop opening in Melbourne’s famous Chapel Street fashion precinct in South Yarra, Victoria.
The MCM STUDIO brand has established a very prominent reputation in the market place and is considered one of the main players in the specialty business shirts, ties and accessories industry. The brand has developed many new products over the years and recently introduced new collections of men’s suits, knitwear & leather goods. Although designed & developed in Australia there is an undeniably strong influence of Italian design, styling & quality which very much represents the true elegance and feel of the brand.
Over the years MCM STUDIO has developed strong brand awareness due to their high quality, superior imported fabrics, cutting edge design & fit and fine array of accessories to compliment. Their 'mantra' has always been to source, manufacture and deliver the best quality products available at sensible prices... "We never compromise quality for Price"
The founders Tim and Andrea Ward have been involved in designing and manufacturing clothing for more than 30 years. In 1974 they started their first company Finesse Sportswear which was a very successful active wear company producing fashionable sportswear for tennis, golf, leisurewear, aerobics and gym wear.
It was from an association with a menswear company overseas that the MCM STUDIO concept was developed and expanded quickly to become what it is today.
The company also operates a wholesale distribution company servicing other retailers and department stores with a broad collection of Italian silk ties, cufflinks, shirts and accessory lines.
Tim and Andrea are constantly travelling, particularly to Europe where most of the shirt fabrics, silk ties, cufflinks and accessories are sourced and purchased.
MCM STUDIO will continue to grow and bring beautiful high quality products to its valued customers.
